Toyota’s TRD Pro lineup has always offered some excellent color choices throughout its history: Army Green, Electric Lime, Terra, Mudbath, and the list goes on. This year, Toyota adds another sweet color to its already strong palette: Wave Maker. Developed by Toyota’s Calty Design team, Wave Maker marks the eleventh unique paint option for the TRD Pro lineup. It is one of the five colors available for the 2025 TRD Pro models, alongside Ice Cap, Magnetic Grey, Midnight Black, and the previously mentioned Mudbath.
“We’ve had warm, earthy natural tones inspired by traditional landscapes like Terra and Mudbath for a few years now as signature colors. With Wave Maker, we were inspired by untouched adventure areas, including extreme environments even beyond Earth. Wave Maker expresses a spirit of elements that evoke images of glacial depth and new frontiers.” – Benjamin Jimenez, General Manager, Calty Ann Arbor
This new color is reminiscent of the Heritage Blue color offered on other models such as the 4Runner and Land Cruiser but still possesses its own uniqueness. It stands out from its siblings with a brighter finish and more blue-green hues. In fact, there are not many colors on the market right now that can match it. Wave Runner will be available on the TRD Pro versions of the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia starting later this year. Toyota has not confirmed if there will be an additional charge, but expect an additional price increase between $350 and $475 if there is one (which is likely).
