Ketua Harian DPP Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI), Ahmad Ali, recently explained his decision to leave the Nasdem Party and join PSI, stating that he believes PSI is the party of the future. “Yes, for me, PSI is the party of the future,” Ahmad Ali said during an interview in Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta. He mentioned that switching parties is a common practice in politics and that he has had long-standing friendships with PSI cadres. According to him, he has a strong spiritual connection with PSI.
Ahmad Ali’s move to PSI was formalized during the inauguration of the DPP PSI period 2025-2030 at Djakarta Theatre, Central Jakarta. Along with him, another politician from the Nasdem Party, Bestari Barus, also joined PSI. In the new leadership structure of PSI, Ahmad Ali was appointed as the Secretary-General of DPP PSI. The event was officiated by Secretary General Raja Juli Antoni. The ceremony signifies a new chapter for Ahmad Ali and Bestari Barus as they embark on their political journey with PSI.
