President Prabowo Subianto warmly received President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra of Peru at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. President Boluarte’s motorcade, accompanied by motorcycle troops and mounted guards, paraded from the National Monument to the palace gates. Upon arrival, President Prabowo personally welcomed Boluarte and both leaders stood on the ceremonial podium for the national anthems of Peru and Indonesia. They then inspected the honor guard and paid tribute to their respective national flags before introducing their official delegations. The bilateral meeting between the two presidents aimed to strengthen relations between Indonesia and Peru, both of which are members of the APEC forum. This visit by President Boluarte is a reciprocal gesture following President Prabowo’s official visit to Peru the previous year, marking the ongoing diplomatic exchange between the two nations.
