President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, appointed General Tandyo Budi as Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and also installed six new Regional Military Command (Kodam) commanders, along with 20 brigade commanders and 100 Territorial Development Battalions. In a recent event, Prabowo also presented the Bintang Sakti Medal of Honor to soldiers who demonstrated exceptional integrity. He emphasized the importance of commanders leading from the front, ensuring that they are the first line of protection for their soldiers in dangerous situations. Prabowo made it clear that troop commanders should never lead from behind but must set an example by leading from the front. He urged military leaders to care for and train their troops as they would their own children, emphasizing the TNI’s identity and mission as the people’s army, ready to serve and defend the people.
