President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, recently attended the 2025 Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Held on August 7, the event was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) in collaboration with ITB.
During his visit, President Prabowo explored various exhibition booths, including the “Flagship Research Products” booth from Padjadjaran University. The booth showcased innovative technologies like VR Dental Hypnosis and VR for Nurses, highlighting research-based advancements.
Following the exhibition, Prabowo delivered a speech at Sabuga Hall, expressing his gratitude to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, as well as other esteemed guests present. With the theme “Science and Technology for Economic Growth and Equity,” KSTI 2025 aims to drive national economic transformation through research, science, and technological innovation, aligning with the government’s vision for Golden Indonesia 2045.
The convention also features exhibitions from key sectors such as energy, defense, digitalization, healthcare, food security, maritime affairs, and advanced materials and manufacturing. KSTI 2025 serves as a crucial platform to propel Indonesia’s long-term economic development and technological progress.
