The Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program has been proven to improve children’s concentration levels, leading to better learning outcomes and increased motivation to learn. Research conducted in Aceh and various areas such as Bogor, Papua, and Medan showed significant enhancement in concentration among students who received the free nutritious meals. According to Ikeu Tanziha from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), concentration is crucial for cognitive development in children and can be influenced by factors like learning motivation, nutritional intake, psychological well-being, and physiological conditions.

Nutrients such as protein, iron, and omega-3 fatty acids play a vital role in brain development and cognitive function, especially memory. Ikeu emphasized the importance of providing essential nutrients through the MBG Program to support children’s physical and cognitive growth. Despite challenges like unhealthy eating habits and limited access to nutritious foods in some areas, the program aims to address these issues and promote a healthier generation.

The research conducted by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) showed positive results in improving learning focus and cognitive performance among students who benefited from the MBG Program. The program not only aims to provide children with necessary nutrients for growth but also to enhance their intelligence and cognitive potential. Ikeu highlighted the significance of collective efforts to ensure the success of the Free Nutritious Meals Program for the benefit of future generations and society as a whole.
